WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE CONSIGNMENT WITH NOVA & CO
We’re so excited that you’re consigning with us!
You can bring up to 50 items for consignment.
We accept women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. All sizes are accepted.
Clothes sell only in style and on-trend unless they're vintage. Items that are new or only worn once aren't always in style.
Please make sure everything is in excellent, like-new condition, with no pilling, odours (smoke), animal hair, stains or wrinkles.
For your appointment, please put your clothing in a laundry basket, box, or solid bag (no garbage bags or hangers).
All clothing items must have the original garment tag/size tag attached.
We do not accept skinny jeans, wedding/bridesmaid dresses, maternity wear, undergarments, lingerie, bras, bathing suits, sleepwear, men’s clothing, children’s clothing or house decor.
ITEMS WE WILL BE SELECTIVE ACCEPTING (They don’t sell well):
HEEL/SHOES - BUSINESS/OFFICE WEAR - PURSES - RIPPED JEANS - SCARFS/GLOVES
BRANDS WE DO NOT ACCEPT:
Walmart, Costco, Forever 21, Urban Planet, Urban Behaviour, Sirens, Stitches, Warehouse One, Northern Reflection, Reitmans, Rickies, RW & CO, Ardene, or Shein/Temu.
We will be very picky with Old Navy, Joe Fresh, Amazon and other online retailers/sellers, depending on the quality.
CONSIGNMENT TERMS:
Nova & Co sets the selling price; you will receive 40% of the sale price
We keep items on consignment for a minimum of 90 days and may be retained for up to 6 months
We will no longer be doing pickups after items have been consigned. Items under $100.00 are automatically donated if they don’t sell after the season or 6 months.
It is up to you to make arrangements with Nova & Consignment if you want any items appraised over $100.00 returned to you. It is your responsibility to request an item back.
Accounts over $50.00 are available for cheque payout. Amounts under $50.00 are paid out in-store credits only. Any monies owed to you under $50.00 can be used for an in-store purchase.
It is your responsibility to reach out to Nova & Consignment to collect your money after the contract is over. Any amount left on the account after one year will become the property of Nova & Consignment.
Customers must stay for the consignment appointment; nothing is to be left behind after the scheduled appointment, or it will become the property of Nova & Consignment

RETURN POLICY:
All consignment items are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for returns, refunds, or exchanges. Due to their pre-loved nature, consignment items may have slight imperfections due to previous wear. CONTRACT AGREEMENT
You must read and confirm the following to complete your consignment drop-off appointment. No appointments will be confirmed if the form below is not completed and submitted. These are the terms of the agreement that we ask all our consignors to agree to, and will ensure your appointment is a success and that your items are accepted. Line items marked with a red star must be answered to confirm the appointment. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation sent to your email.
Nova & Consignment sets all selling prices. Items are listed and offered for sale according to season. We price according to label, age, condition and desirability. All items are subject to further markdowns at our discretion based on condition, promotional events, or seasonality. Items are typically listed at full price for the first 30 days and then marked down by 20% for the following 30 days.
You receive 40% of the final selling price of each item.
Items will be sold for a minimum period of 90 days and may be retained for up to 6 months.
Nova & Consignment is not liable for loss, theft, fire, water damage, or other unforeseen events beyond our control.

FEES: Your account will be charged for any necessary authentication, appraisal, cleaning, or repair charges. Third-party authentication fees are $50.00 to $100.00, depending on the brand. We return items that cannot be authenticated, and we charge you a $50 processing fee for such items. These items must be picked up within one week of notification.
Seller warrants that all items are authentic and understands that any item found to be not authentic will receive a $100.00 fee and will be destroyed unless picked up within one week of notification.
If you request an item back that has already been processed by Nova & Consignment, there is a service charge of $10.00 pre item.
Items under $100.00 are automatically donated. It is up to you to make arrangements with Nova & Consignment if you want any items appraised over $100.00 returned to you. It is your responsibility to request an item back before the 90-day contract expires.
Unsold items are donated or used at Clearance/Market Sales with net proceeds directed to local charities of our choice.
Unclaimed expired cheques/monies owed and unclaimed items that have expired become the property of Nova & Consignment. Cheques expire in six months. Expired cheques within one year of the date of the cheque can be reissued with a $25.00 fee or a $50.00 fee if stop payment is required. Accounts become the property of Nova & Consignment after one year of inactivity. The Seller understands this contract and their responsibilities and warrants that any items brought for sale are owned by them and that they have the full legal right to sell these items.
